Complement your portfolio

Scotch Whisky has played a major contribution to the UK economy with a contribution of £6.2 billion Gross Value Added in 2022 which is an 37% increase from the following year. Scotch Single Malt exports increased by 30% from 2021 and we have saw 1.67 billion 70cl bottles equivalent shipped globally which is up 21% from 2021. This is a clear indication of the sentiment of the market.

Returns from whisky casks can vary depending on the brand of the cask, the size, the finish, age, purchase price & strategy associated to your portfolio. The return is calculated from the purchase price to the selling price. For example, you buy a cask for £5,000, you hold it for 5 years and the value of that cask is now worth £7,000 and you decide to sell. Your return is based on capital growth and will only receive a realised return upon your cask/casks being sold. Once the sale has been executed, we can then track back and calculate what the growth was per annum. Based on these figures you would have earnt £2,000 profit, which equates to a 8% return p/a.

We recommend clients take advantage of the whisky cask market from the ground level up, buying young and selling old, to capitalise on all milestones and maturation the cask has to offer. The older and rarer the cask, then the more leverage we have as a company to demand the best price possible upon selling.

We do not give any guarantees on returns that can be made and will make all risk warnings within the investment apparent to each client before coming on board. Please ensure you have read and understood our disclaimer.

OUR STORY & ETHOS
MARKET PERFORMANCE

Over 20m casks

Whisky is an asset which historically is known to be highly sought after, however extremely hard to obtain, especially casks. Statistics show us that there are over 20 million casks in distilleries in Scotland which still haven’t been discovered. This is what makes the whisky market truly unique and why investors want to take advantage of this market.

Historically the UK and the USA were the biggest markets for Scotch Whisky. However, over the last 20 years we have seen a new market come into play. The Chinese have developed a huge appetite for whisky with Scotch whisky being their favourite and the average spend per bottle sitting at £115.
